This blog entry is dedicated to my daughter Sibahle who is just under 2 years old. It is also dedicated to all the new African moms and dads looking to buy culturally relevant toys for their young ones.

I recently bumped into Toys With Roots online store which has a range of creative toys for young toddlers.

Naturally my favourite was the Swazi doll Ntombenhle. I got it when Sibahle was just a few months old. At the time she couldn’t play with it yet so we used it as part of the décor in her room.

She is getting older now and is starting to have a preference in the toys she likes, thankfully her new doll Ntombenhle is one of them.

Sibahle totally loves her Ntombenthle and can’t live without her.
